EO and the Olympians, since 2017

SnowEO 2027 Speakers

Two people who have done what almost no one has. Hear how they did it, up close.

Friday, March 5 · Fireside Chat

Jamie Anderson

Two-time Olympic gold medalist, snowboard slopestyle

Two Olympic gold medals made Jamie Anderson one of the faces of snowboarding, but what came after tells the real story. She stepped away from the sport to have two daughters, then came back aiming for another Olympic run at an age when most of her competitors had long since retired. Raised right here in South Lake Tahoe, she built a career most people only dream about by refusing to accept a timeline anyone else set for her. On Friday, she talks about staying in a game that keeps changing shape, and knowing when a comeback is worth making.

Adrian Ballinger

High-altitude mountaineer, founder of Alpenglow Expeditions

Adrian did not just summit Everest and K2 without supplemental oxygen, as one of only four Americans to do both. He built Alpenglow Expeditions, which now guides more than 6,000 people a year into the mountains. Along the way, he developed a pre-acclimatization method that cut the time it takes to climb an 8,000-meter peak roughly in half, changing how the industry operates, and he was one of the first to broadcast an Everest expedition live. He built Alpenglow here in Olympic Valley. On Saturday, he talks about risk you can actually calculate, and what 25 years of guiding the world's highest mountains teaches about building something that lasts.

Past Speakers

Every year, SnowEO brings an extraordinary voice to the mountain.

Mike Arzt

2026

Mike spent 20 years building a creative agency most people said could not work, chasing the work he loved instead of the safer path. An EO Colorado member and adventure photographer, he brought that same bet-on-yourself instinct to the SnowEO stage.

David Wise

2025

David won freeski halfpipe gold at two straight Olympics, in one of skiing's newest events: a discipline still finding its rules while he was busy mastering it. He spoke about what it takes to stay on top in a sport that is still being invented.

Daron Rahlves

Past speaker

One of the most decorated American alpine ski racers in history. After retiring from the World Cup, he built something new: the Banzai Tour, a big-mountain ski-cross series he launched himself, right here in Tahoe. A second act that turned a racing career into a lasting brand.
